Members xupernaut
This came yesterday. Its a Mako (named after the shark?) kind of a Jacksonesque strat copy.Afaikt it's made in the 80's MIJ (I think).I found it on the Goodwill auction site.I bought it as a fixer upper there's a crack all the way through the headstock.I figured I'd try and fix it or try and find a neck for it if it wasn't fixable. Thing is aside from looking a little f*cked up the neck is fine.I strung it up thinking the tension might pull the crack apart but she's fine.I must have been previously glued.Best of all she's a player. The bodies lightweight and pretty resonant even though I think its plywood. The pickups sound good too.I think it sounds better then the mim strat I used to own.Now I just need a trem arm maybe some white pup covers, and possibly a new switch as it's a little dodgy........
