Members keith2112
I just got my lp custom back from luthier who installed two Aldrich pickups. I'm just bassing this off of one hour or so of playing them. Extremely powerfull. Single notes swell with sustain. So far it seems a tad muddy and dark. I'll probably adjust the height and see if that helps. Does anyone else have a set of these? Are they a beter fit for a thinner piece of wood like a firebird, SG etc., or are they susposed to be voiced for les pauls? Sorry no clips. Members keith2112
John Suhr makes them and named them after Doug Aldrich.

Members lonechicken
I'm pretty sure they're made for Les Pauls. His tone is just unreal on the two recent live Whitesnake albums. Are they really really hot?
Members keith2112
They are very Full sounding. Single notes swell with sustain and fill up the room. Though I haven't played in a band situation yet the guitar will have no problem cutting through. They take some getting used to for someone who has classic 57+ and BB3 in the bridge positions of other humbuker loaded guitars.
Members book_of_lies777
Doug Aldrich is a badass - I have the Whitesnake and Dio live dvds with him playing, and he just slays.
Members mfergel
yeah, I didn't really know who he was until I got the Whitesnake DVD. First thing I thought was how good can this guy be if Reb Beach is the backup guitarist...........damn, he smoked though.
