Members rainbird
Need your help, gang - and yes, I *did* search theforum. I know I saw a thread about this a year or so ago,but apparently my search terms could use some improvement.I know it's in there somewhere. But in the meantime: Looking for recommendations for a gift for someone whois having a hip replacement Monday, and will be recuperatingat home. This fellow is a major classic rock fan, with tastesleaning heavily toward the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin,Heart (these are rock DVDs he already owns.) Also has"Festival Express." I don't think he's enough of a Bandfan to properly appreciate "Rock of Ages," alas. And yes, owns both "Spinal Taps" already. So where do I go from here? I *really* wanted to get him the "Tower of Power" DVD, butalas, the video concert was NOT titled "What is Hip." Here we go...
Members Super 8
There was a Doors concert I remember seeing once. I don't remember which one it was, but I do remember being blown away by what an amazing frontman Jim Morrison was, and how the band could drift off into some psychodelic otherworld, and as soon as Jim jumped, the band was RIGHT THERE on que. I want to say, they were filmed by some Italian film crew, but it's really been too long. Maybe someone else has seen it and could give you the info. I'd highly recommend it. What I ended upordering was a Hendrix documentary with concert footage.Highly rated, and it sounds like something we'd both enjoywatching. (He's already got "Pulse," by the way - that wasa Christmas present.)
