Members Hoodoo
Hey guy's, Which is naturally brighter a Les Paul or a 335 type hollow body? Is there a difference?
Members Dewysoss
335. Maple body/center block, mahogany neck. LP = Mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck. Maple body/block, as well as it being hollow makes it brighter than mahogany with a maple top.

Members metallica_00
Generally I find most (there is the occasional "good" one I run into) Les Pauls to be too muddy with boomy and overpowering lows. 335s have a more balanced sound, the last one I played could actually get quite bright with the treble up all the way. Members 57GLDTP
My 335 (loaded w/ Burstbuckers) is brighter than any of my LPs. (loaded w/57 Classics, Burstbuckers & Rolphs 58s) 57GT:)
