I now have the files on a different DVD brand as .aifs and it seems to work.

 

At least I have already loaded 7 of them into Cubase.

 

 

 

I'm afraid this means also I can not for sure tell where the mistake was.

I'd still guess it was teh large file size and incompatibility between Macs and PCs as to DVD format for non-mulitisegment files.

 

The idea that the application software on the receiving end (PC) is at fault is shot down by your statment that you couldn't even copy the files over.

 

As for not knowing what went wrong, here's what I often say when someone asks me that: "Sorry, I don't know every wrong way to do something, I generally stop looking as soon as I find a way that works."

There's three files on each DVD, one does show the files, but doesn't let me open them, one doesn't even start running. :confused:

he exported it as the wrong format WAV file... it HAS to be linearPCM. no other variation works into nuendo/cubase. i just had trouble with this from a VO client FTPing them to me. just gives that error message and you are SOL until you convert it from an application that will read the file. of course i had 16bit files so wmp WOULD PLAY IT.

Do you know what codec the "Mac Guy" used when he made the wavs?

If you don't have the codec on your system it won't play.
