What do you guys do when you switch from a single coil guitar to a humbucking one...do you have completely different amp settings for each or do you have two different amps setup for each...i use a fender deluxe american strat that i have set up well on my amp...the fender deluxe amer. tele i have sounds good too when i just plug it in with the same amp settings but when i switch to my gretsch anniversary it just sounds out of balance...not sure if its cause it has humbuck p'ups or if its just not setup correctly....

what do you guys do when you switch guitars likethis?

Tweak it until chords sound balanced tone-wise, as in good articulation high and low, no screeching highs and no muffled low notes. I find this a lot easier on humbuckers as they're more midrangey than single coils. Bringing out the twang on strats and teles can be a struggle on some amps. Mess with it until the settings bring out the best in whatever guitar you're playing and then write them down so you don't forget.
