Members nuke_diver Posted June 7, 2008 Members Share Posted June 7, 2008 Happy New Mic Day I finally sucked up and got a mic...a new SM57. I looked all over for a used one locally but always seemed to be a tad late. The ones on ebay worried me that I might get a fake and for the $20 difference I figured I'd give the local music store some lovin' For those who told me to get this the first time...you were right I'm using my guitarport as the interface/preamp for the mic and it seems to work ok though I'm still playing around. I may get a mixer yet but for now this seems to work. I can record my amp and hear the difference compared to the guitarport and I can hear (barely) the backing tracks too.
