Members Brawley
Well had some major financial setbacks and had to sell off my Mexi Fender strat. Now I need a very cheap replacement to get me by. Still a beginner-intermediet and I have other guitars but I still want a strat around with single pups. So here are my options Squire Bullet, SX SST ash MN/NA or SX SST57 short scale. Let me know what you all think. Or any other suggestions are welcome. thanks
Members Saturn
Xavier. Haven't played one myself but the reviews have me thinking about picking one up.
Members stormin1155
the Bullets are a great buy. I have an SX, and after a lot of work and upgrading parts it is a pretty good guitar. If you want to play it right out of the box I'd stick with the Bullet. If you are a tinkerer/modder, the SX makes a pretty good platform.... out of the box.... eh. I've heard pretty good things about the Xaviers. Keep your eye out for something used. You can still pick up US-made Peavey Preditors for $150 or less. Lots of Squiers out there that can be had for $100 or less. Jay Turser is also a good budget bet. Members sk8centilli
The only thing about the Bullet I had that I didn't like was the neck width - way too small for me.
