Members nevermind
TN70-EX is a model # for MIJ thinlines . The serial # is probably on the bridge plate if it is still original
Members zenbu
the number on the bridgeplate is not a serial number, it can not be used to date a guitar. I own several FJs from the 80s, all have a pencil date on the neck butt, makes it real easy to date em. 90% of FJ teles I`ve seen have that A number on the bridgeplate. I own some Japanese Fenders with the serial on the front of the headstock, on the back of it, on the neck plate, at the base of the neck and even had one from this decade with no serial number. The 70 in the model number tells you what year the guitar is based on, the next numbers tell you how much it retailed for, example, my 1985 72-55 FJ teles are based on a 1972 guitar and retailed for 55,ooo yen. this strat is based on a 1954 and retailed for 120,ooo in the early 90s, it`s a shop order by Ikebe, a chain of stores in Japan...
