Members Faber
I've been curious about electric resonator guitars like the Resolectric, dobrolectric, lectraslide etc - they look hellishly cool and I love the sound of National steel reso guitars. Never seen an eletric though, so tell me: does that cone make a difference on an electric guitar or is it just eye candy? speaking of eye candy
Members datru
I have no idea and have never played one, but this Jay Turser always catches my eye:
Members blueshawk1
I have an electric dobro, it definitely is a different sound. Hard to even describe, a really cool sound, but definitely also a limited sound, not something you could use a lot.

I remember seeing John Campbell playing a National with an electric pu through a fender amp and greating the sound of god.

Members Highway_61
The Dobro-esque accoutrements of the Turser JT-Res are merely cosmetic. There are no Dobro sounds there. One can purchase an acoustic Dobro or resonator and use an acoustic pickup like the Lace pickups: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Pickups:_Guitar,_resonator/1/Lace_Dobro_Pickup/Details.html#details or http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Lace-Ultra-Slim-Acoustic-Sensor?sku=360667 Other options are Chandlers. (A forumite works for them, by the way.) http://www.chandlerguitars.com/ Lastly, I would look at BHH's newest Trussart. Though he has yet to deliver on his promise of a slide video w/ the Trussart, the videos he has produced do reveal very nice Dobro-ish tones.
