Members gnizak
I have to ask, what guitar was Clapton playing that night? I've heard it said that its the 335, SG or even the Firebird. I know when Guitar Center bought his 335 they let Gibson reproduce it and it was marketed as the "Crossroads Guitar" but is this in reference to this performance or the fact that the proceeds would go to his rehabilitation center? Anyways this is my favorite track of all time and I want to see if anybody knows what he played on it.
Members The Lou-Dog
There's not a 100% definate answer to that question. It most likely was not the Firebird because he tended to only use that for the tracks where he used a wah/wah pedal. So really its a bit of a toss up between the SG and the 335 and to my ears, it sounds like the 335.
Members BeanoBoy
Pretty sure it was an SG. He played the 335 on the 'first' farewell tour. I agree, 'Crossroads' was and remains a big inspiration for me. Love the way he wraps up the second solo. Essential! Timeless!

Members PanaDP
That's quite the story. It's a shame he had a camera and only came out with 2 decent photos.
