Members Guitar Heel
Sweet looking amps, and I'm sure they sound as good as they look. Awesome guitar too. LOVE me some PRS...
Members 23miles
I have seen Derek Trucks a few times over the last year and I think he was using them with the DTB as well as with the Allmans. Sounded fine to me, although Derek could probably plug into a microwave oven and still break hearts. Apparently PRS is using Sewell to produce the amps. Sewell seems to be highly thought of and his amps have a solid reputation. There has been some discussion about these amps over on the The Gear Page. Members olgluefoot
They're just rebranded Sewells with superinflated price tags. Fortunately, Sewells are amazing. Unfortunately, the used prices of the originals are bound to skyrocket now. :^( last time i checked they were already pretty high lol oh well. but yeah they are kinda ugly. Looks like the inside of a whiskey barrel.

Members ugameus
Apparently PRS is using Sewell to produce the amps. I emailed Doug Sewell a while back regarding low watt amps. This was his response: "Sewell Amps has gone into dormancy, and I've take the position as Senior Amp Designer with PRS Guitars. We'll be doing 4 models based on Sewell Amp designs, but only in 50 and 100 watt versions initially. I'll be pushing for low powered amps in the lineup as fast as we can." Moderators The Eristic Posted January 16, 2009 Moderators Share Posted January 16, 2009 last time i checked they were already pretty high lol oh well. Most were in the slightly sub-$2k range new, iIrc, and go for around a grand used at the moment, so not too bad, really.
