I'm deciding on what bridge and pickup to use. There is a complication though, this is for nylon strings. I might try to DIY a piezo pickup and preamp using radio shack piezo buzzers and an op amp. Has anyone here tried doing that? Suggestions? I saw a picture of a guitar online somewhere that has a bevel almost all the way around the body. I liked that so I though that I would try my hand at it. I had been wanting a guitar with a skunk stripe maple neck, fingerboard and neck all one piece. I've been curious about (specifically PJ1 brand) polyurethane finishes. And last of all I'd played a Godin classical solidbody and thought it was pretty neat. I thought I'd take everything and combine them. Here it is half done... The pics don't show much surface detail. The back of the body is satin, the front is level-ish gloss but the wood grain looks like it is black bas-relief. Progress pics will be forthcoming when there is more progress.
