Podxt through Cab

Your Pod would be the preamp. What you need is a power amp.

A regular guitar amp will work fine, but you might want to run into the FX loop return instead of the guitar input on the amp, that way you are bypassing the head's preamp and getting all of your preamping from the Pod.

I have used an XT Live on the front end of my rig for the last year. I have tried it both ways as mentioned above, running into the effects loop and also directly into the input jack. I prefer using the input jack and front ending it so I can have a little flexibility with the EQ on the amp itself.

Your XT Live has a button that says "OUTPUT Mode System" and you can use that to change your output signal and shape it for your particular amp and rig. Be sure and set your line output switch to "Amp" and your line level adjustment to a little over half-way. That gives you some head room. I run mine through a tube amp so I get the best of both worlds, digital effects and flexibility and tube tone output. Works for me... good luck!
