Members Zak Totkoff
Hi. I have DiMarzio's Gravity Storm Neck + Evolution Bridge hums in my Ibanez RG (5 Way Switch + 2 x 500K Tone & Volume) and now I'm curious about how to wire the DiMarzio's Area hum canceling single pickup for my middle. On DiMarzio's web page there are two wiring diagrams which have "Area" in their names : "2 Humbucker, 1 AreaSingle in Split Mode, 5-Way, 1 Volume, 1 Tone; Neck, Neck Split & Middle, Middle, Bridge Split & Middle, Bridge" and "Jem 20th Anniversary Wiring, 2 Humbucker, 1 Area Single, Ibanez 5-Way, 1 Volume, 1 Tone; Neck, (Neck & Middle) Split, Middle, (Bridge & Middle) Split, Bridge" ...and I wonder if these are the ones I should follow? I'm thinking of trying the single DiMarzio Area 67 in particular. Has anyone tried hum canceling pickup in HSH configuration like this? Do you gave any better wiring diagrams and suggestions? Members badpenguin
I'm not familiar with the area single coil you mention. This diagram should help. https://guitarelectronics.com/wdu-hsh5l11-01/
