Members Dookietwo
About 3 years ago a "friend" helped me move my EF500p speaker and bent the master volume knob. Worked ok for some time but it became noisy, then very noisy to the point where I couldn't use it. The music playing would shake the knob and it would crackel durning playback so I replaced it. Ordered the part and it came quickly from Boynton Pro Audio. Just cut the 3 wire ties that hold the wires together that go to the power amp section to the circuit board. Unplug black wire that goes from power amp section to circuit board. Unplug ribbon from power amp section to the circuit board. Remove screws and nuts to input xlr/ 1/4 input/output jacks and desolder knob. It has 3 pins and 2 clips on the side that work as hold downs. Replace and reinstall board. The horn driver and woofer are from Italy. Looks like a 12 inch magnet measured top to bottom on the 15 inch, 4 inch voice coil woofer with a 6 inch magnet with a 3 inch voice coil for the horn driver. Solid, well built box. I'd give the repair about a 3 1/2 as far as it being difficult. (pretty easy) Douglas R. Allen
