  • Stacked Concentric Pot with Long Shaft?

Does anyone know of a place that sells the CTS Stacked Concentric Pot, but with a long shaft for mounting in carved top LPs or other guitars with thick tops?

    Thanks

You might be looking for the wrong specifications. The threaded portion of the pot is called the bushing. The shaft is the part the knobs attach to.

They still call them long shaft though, even though the threaded portion is the long part.

        I haven't seen one anywhere.
You may have to rout a little off the top from the inside of the cavity.
        I'll look around though.

Yeah, I might have to resort to that. It's for that floyd rose tele. the maple top is 1/2' thick, so normal pots don't even come close to fitting, even though the previous owner did some drilling out.

So far I've looked at many places but no dice.

            Take a look here:
            http://www.ctscorp.com/components/default.htm

Go to the pdf on concentric pots. I think the part # you need is:

Awesome, thanks Pete! I had no idea I could order direct from CTS.

I'm not sure if you can but it's worth a shot.

I'm not positive on that part # but that does work out to be a 500K concentric with long shaft. I think????

I'm afraid it looks like that pot is only 500 ohms. I, too, am looking for the same as the OP. Dang it.

                  Lee

Should have mentioned it seems they're only available up to 100K ohms.

              Working...
