Members DeepEnd Posted August 10, 2014 Members Share Posted August 10, 2014 I have no recommendations and honestly I've never owned a tube amp but I can't help thinking "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Sure, you can probably get it to sound different but better is another thing altogether. Fortunately, in your case, AFAIK you only have the one tube to swap so it can't hurt to try a few but don't expect miracles. That said, it's the nature of guitarists to "improve" their instruments, amps, pedalboards, etc. It makes it so easy to avoid actually playing.
