Pretty much everyone knows about the Epiphone Valve Junior 5 watt half-stack. The speaker cab has a 16 ohm speaker. The amp head has out-puts of 4, 8, and 16 ohms. Ok, using the most basic English, having a 16 ohm speaker and using a 4 or 8 ohm amp head out is bad. However, having a 4 ohm speaker and using a 8 or 16 ohm amp head out is fine.

Its not great for the amp but using a higher impedence load is fine, using a lower impedence load will blow up your amp though
