Members bluesguy63
Ok, trying to learn to sing...comments are appreciated. The 2nd version is capo up three frets...is there a difference? Is either passable? thanks https://soundcloud.com/bluesguy1963/lonesome-road-blues-folk-style https://soundcloud.com/bluesguy1963/lonesome-road-
Members ido1957
Lonesome - take a big breath before you sing the high note - they're all flat. It sounds like you're running out of breath or breathing in when you sing those parts.
Members bluesguy63
Ok...thank you. I will work on that. Like I said, just learning. My goal (realistic) is to just get a passing grade at a jam or maybe even at an open mic. Would I make a fool of my self if I sang in front of others? Moderators davie Posted January 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 12, 2015 I checked out both versions, in the first version (the lower one) the pitch was better. In the second version the pitch had the tendency to be off, but the energy was better. If your objective is to sing the higher key then I would recommend practicing the higher key instead of the lower key version. I felt that the lower version might be bordering on too low. Members bluesguy63
Thanks Davie...my only real objective at this point is to be able to sing on key (whatever that may be) and not make an idiot of myself.
Members Sing Better In 3 Days
I checked out both versions, in the first version (the lower one) the pitch was better. Your overall vocal tone was much better in the lower version and it portrayed the feeling of the song. It needs to be a bit louder though. Can you get more volume in the first key, or does the sound get "stuck" between your throat and your chest?
