Members americansinner
This works better depending on the options you have for line level outs on your amp. Pre v. post effects, cab simulation, etc.
Members toddkuen
Basically you should be able to run a 1/4" from the amp "line out" to a "line in" on the powered speaker. Make sure that the output signal from the amp is not "line" while the powered speaker is expecting "mic level." You'll know this if you have to turn the amp "line out" way down to make it work. You can fix it usually with a DI box: Amp "line out" as 1/4" -> DI Box out as "mic cable" -> powered speaker "mic in".
Members tlbonehead
you are talking backwards. The amp would go into the powered speakers, not the other way around. And as stated, the line-out on your amp should be able to feed them a suitable signal.

Members Telecruiser
I have never done this because my sound system sounds so freakin' good. I could not imagine using a separate amplifier. I use the JBL PRX 612's which are out of some folks price range ($700-$800 ea.) but the ROI is worth it. I just recently purchased a TC G-Natural and I'll be working it into the act also. ROI = Return On Investment To me meaning it is worth what I paid for it and maybe a little more. The TC G-Natural (made by TC Electronics) is a floor model effects processor for acoustic guitar. You are easily able to access eith factory programs or custom built (by yourself) programs. http://www.tcelectronic.com/g-natural.asp My JBL 612's http://www.jblpro.com/catalog/general/Product.aspx?PId=360&MId=

Members Telecruiser
Man I wish I could! Too expensive though right now. Yeah, it was pricey. The only way I justified it was It was way too cool and a friend of mine is a TC dealer so it was only $548 for me.
