Members collinwho
I have a rug burn on my forehead. I'd prefer it not be there. Other than drying it well after washing, does anyone have any remedies for hurrying up the healing process?
Members jonjohn
How did you do that?
Members collinwho
My best guess is that I got the rug burn by face-planting when I passed out in the hallway of my apartment building the other night. I'm not entirely certain of this, though.

Members db.
Cortaid. It's a steriod cream that soothes things like rashes and burns. Available at a drug store near you.
Members blueyedmule
If the forehead rug burn is accompanied by a sore backside. . ...doooooood. I think you got taken advantage of! Can I suggest AA to clear it up? Well, that's more preventative.

Members collinwho
I actually have a sweatband sitting right at my desk... Good to finally have a use for it, other than for Wii Sports, that is.
Members bassman1956
Ahhh, youth! :D Okay, get plain aloe, like for sunburn. Sometimes it has something like bactine in it, that only helps if the sore hurts. The aloe itself is what you want. Also, Vaseline Lip Therapy is excellent. I would alternate between the two, about every 2 hours.

Good to finally have a use for it, other than for Wii Sports, that is. Stupid, completely brainless suggestion. A great harbor for infection. Triple antibiotic ointment and let it air out. And wear that rugburn with pride.
Members collinwho
Stupid, completely brainless suggestion. A great harbor for infection. I think it was meant as a joke (I certainly took it as one). I'm absolutely not going to be putting a dusty sweatband on for the day. Triple antibiotic ointment and let it air out. And wear that rugburn with pride. Airing it out is essentially what I've settled on. It seems pretty shallow, so I'm sure it will be gone by next weekend, which is what I'm hoping for.
