Members TheFoosa
wtf kinda midi cable has 13 pins?
Members Unfed
it doesn't. and i'm guessing it's best to stay with a midi cable that's 12" feet or less?
Members packrat
Why? Propagation times for the extra 10 feet are irrelevant, and it's a current loop. I have dozens of 20-foot MIDI cables. B>
Members suitandtieguy
it's probably for a Roland GK-2 type interface. my GR-300 kicks your GR-30's ass.

You sound like the guy who tried to talk me out of the custom 75' paralell and 300' serial cable I wanted to order back in '89. He pretty much guaranteed me that niether would work - they worked fine.
Members packrat
75' parallel is obviously pushing your luck, particularly if there are any bends in it. Serial on the other hand was reguarly wired through whole buildings B>

Members 17 Tubes
Originally posted by myteeGTi I lol'ed Yeah, cool. I'm a wannabe writer. Seriously, someone said it's for midi guitar, and that is probably right. The deal is I bought a Mesa Single Rec, and to my surprise the cable that came with it fit neither the amp nor footswitch. IT called for a standard 5 pin. After bitching a little bit at the seller, I went ahead and bought a new cable. Now I have a very nice cord just laying around. I put it on eBay with no takers. I think these sell for 20 or so. {shrugs} So, unfed, if this isn't a "midi" cable, what do I call it?
