Members kooki_sf
alrighty. so right in the middle of recording midi with the jp-8000 and live, the thing gets a hung note. midi panic doesnt work, so I try changing patches... nothing. I reboot the jp-8000, no more hung note, but also no more midi in! but it still sends midi data for some reason.. anyone know what could be up? i would love this thing to work again. and yes, i checked the channel numbers, it should be working... (and it is plugged in..) and the midi out on my m-audio audiophile is working too..

Members kooki_sf
...and yet somehow it all gets fixed when i open the case and jiggle the midi jacks around a little. on a side note, the main materials in a jp8000 are thin plastic... and get this... PARTICLE BOARD!
Members mrcpro
Sounds like an intermittant fault on the MIDI in jack or it's pc board connections to me. But you've figured that out by now. Get 'er fixed.
