Members NiggyTardust
Sorry for the newbie question but here goes. I want to use a MIDI foot switch to trigger sustained organ chords on my Fantom X6. I'm looking for a way to fade in and out and assign any number of chords to individual pedals. Any advice or gear recommendations to help me get this done?

B> That's Greek to me, or Swiss as the case may be. Guess I should have emphasized that I'm a complete and utter noob.

There is no simple device that does what you are asking. The easiest thing that jumps to mind is having a keyboard and simply playing the chords with a "hold" feature enabled, or by manually using a sustain pedal. Another approach would be to use a sequencer. You can definitely create the setup you're dreaming of, but it's a good distance up the learning curve from where you are now. Maybe you could describe what you're trying to achieve in the bigger picture?

I'm shooting for something that will free up my hands to play guitar while making chord changes via foot switch. Is there a "dummies guide" out there somewhere for folks with little or no sequencing knowledge?
Members 80zclubkid
Hi: IMHO, the Roland PK-5 midi foot control pedal might be capable of this. Check website zzounds.com. cheers:

Members NiggyTardust
Have you considered hiring a keyboardist? I would LOVE to have a full time keyboard player (which would greatly add to our songlist), but I can't seem to sell the other band members on the idea. I play keys on the roughly 25% of our set that requires it. I'm just trying to educate myself on how to make the best use of my current setup and expand my options when playing live. Members syncretism
This sounds like something you could accomplish with Ableton Live - assign MIDI clips to the MIDI foot controller, and Bob's your uncle.
