Members kilo
Hey all,For the last year or so I've been playing shows using my Triton LE with its 88 weighted keys, and couldn't be happier. Then again, I don't think I've ever played a set that used anything besides piano, strings, or organ. Now I'm joining a band that's going to be really synth-heavy, and it's time to expand my repertoire. And I'll probably be frequenting these boards while I find my sound. At the moment I'm thinking of doing a keytar, with some sort of sequencer, MIDI hub, foot pedal MIDI controller, with the sound generated by a Macbook using FL Studio or whatever program sucks me in.Any thoughts? The key here is expandability, I like the thought of being able to download all kinds of different patches, and that I seem to be able to put sounds and effects together alot more quickly from a PC interface.Any thoughts? Or suggestions as to a good piece of hardware to get live show-worthy 1/4" output and MIDI input?
Members mildbill
They're not cheap, and I don't have one so I can't personally recommend it, but I've heard mostly good stuuf about the Receptor. It sounds like it'd be what you're looking for: http://www.museresearch.com/receptor.php
Members kooki_sf
you could run a sequencer on the macbook (live is fun), and just have your keytar+macbook. but i would recommend finding a used sh-101 with the keytar grip and just rocking out with that. serious synth action.
