Why wouldn't it? Usually, the connection is: Computer USB > USB cable > USB MIDI interface > MIDI cables > Synthesizer An USB port on a synth puts the USB MIDI interface and the cables in the synthesizer itself. If you get a synthesizer without USB, you only need something like this: http://www.zzounds.com/item--EMUXMIDI1X1 (or bigger, depending on how many devices you want to hook up). Are you looking for a workstation ? Just my 2 cents ... don't buy anything just because you read it's good. Find out for yourself. Good luck !
