Members Leandrusi
Hello, give your opinion: I have a Roland jv 880 that I use for gigs with a small 61 keys midi controller (for small gigs and long travels so I dont have to bring my big and heavy e piano). It has the session expansion board. Im thinking of change it for a roland 1010, you know, 880 its a really big module :S its unconfortable to carry on gigs so the 1010 would be perfect. Now I have read somewhere that the 880 somewhat sounds better than 1010 is that true? and that the 1010 sometimes "crashes" during live performances (that would be awful). So far the 880 worked and sounded flawlessly, as I said the only problem is the size, is the 1010 the right choice for live gigs? would you change a 880 for 1010? Leave your toughts, and thank you! Members Paolo Di Nicolantonio
I would go with the XV-2020, which accepts SRX-series cards... better sounds
Members ChristianRock
Have you considered Korg's NS5R? I have one and I love it.Not expandable though, but you used to be able to find them for like 70-80 bucks not too long ago... I think they're going up in price now. Members madprof
The Korg sounds rather different to the Roland though. Bit of a risk to take if the sounds don't "fit"
