Korg sp250 or Yamaha p95?

Out of desperation, if nothing else, I'm going to have to sell one of the children and buy a light keyboard with good piano action. I'm probably down to these two. I've played both and assessed their action (which is what matters most to me). It would be very convenient if their built-in sounds were useable onstage but not necessary; I use Pianoteq on my laptop as my sound source. I'd use it for gigging and it would otherwise live in my daughter's bedroom.

sp250

-really nice action

-comes with a stand

-has proper 1/4" outputs

$699

p95

-nice action (I think not as good as the Korg--different time and place, hard to judge)

-much lighter

-may sound better (again, hard to judge)

-extra-cost triple pedal is very nice

-extra-cost stand is also very nice

-headphones are only outputs (wtf????)

$599

Any thoughts?

I've tried a few Casios and didn't like any of their actions. I'd like to try a Kawai but they cost yet more, I believe, and aren't locally available.

I prefer the Korg's action but the Yamaha sounds a little better. It's a trade-off either way but if there's no other option I'd definitely go for the Korg.

Would you consider a second hand Yamaha P120 or P140? It has much better action with the GH keybed (which I have on my MO8 and it's a big improvement over my previous P85's GHS keyboard).

If one came up locally and was reasonably priced, probably. The store I was at had a variety of Yamaha keys and there was one (didn't check the model--I was focussed on the p95) that had very much better action than the rest--really really nice. I checked the spec card--GH3 keybed, I think?

The P120/140/155 have the GH keybed. Not the same as GH3, but very good nonetheless and much better than the GHS on the P95.

Thanks. Useful information.

A quick Kijiji search showed only one p-120 for $1050 within 400km.
