Guest Anonymous
Hi everyone. I wanted to post a mp3 demo of my Emu Vintage Pro. I really like it. I have been really getting into it lately. Do any of you have the Emu Vintage Pro? If so do you have any patches you have made. If you have any questions on my Emu Vintage Pro just ask. Most of these I made myself. OH, I forgot to say that I did use some other waveforms from "Sounds of the ZR" and "XL-lead" in conjunction with the Emu Vintage Pro. I have also been working on some Pipe Organ Patches. I would please like your opinion of what you think of the Pipe Organ sounds. thanks. http://home.tampabay.rr.com/bog/chasiii.mp3
Members Hulston Prickle
Wow, that was surprisingly sane and good. If I find a Emu Vintage or Pro sometime for a good price I might pic it up. Do those have a filter and envelope? As for the pipe organs, they may work in a track or for a film soundtrack type pad, but they are too fakey on their own to pass for real. Other patches are good, especially the Fairlight choir.

It also has something called "patchcords" which is like a mod matrix or patchcords on a real Modular. Same type of concept. There are a large number of filters to choose from. All different types. I still need to work on the Pipe Organ patches, Im going to be listening to some Organ Works that I have for reference. Thanks again, and sorry about last week. Members b3keys
Nice MP3. I mostly use the Vintage Pro for the CP-70 sounds. After listening to your demo, I am going to have to check out the synth sounds a bit more.
Members eric
Nice work, Chas. I like the filter sweeps (sounds like a Jupiter 8 sample).

Members Cloacal-X
Oh man, this is painful to listen to - because I had a PX-7 w/ the Vintage ROM, and your mp3 is reminding me of why I miss it so much. This is an old track I did with the PX7, and most sounds (except drums, which are from the Protean Drums ROM) are from the Vintage collection ROM, same as in your PX-7. - soundclick link

Guest Anonymous
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I really like the Solina, Elka, OB8 strings that the Vintage Pro can do. I just wish there were more people that bought a Vintage Pro so that there would be more patches available out there. On the other hand maybe not having that option has influenced me to make more of an effort to learn the programming structure of the Vintage Pro and to make patches more to my liking. Guest Anonymous
I heavily edited a very bad track with a few players (original track had no keyboards). I dubbed in the all of the keyboards with my Vintage Pro. A guy wanted to hear some of the sounds. Please ignore the "performance", as it sucks. It was just a one-off take, but the Vintage Pro can be heard. Clonk this link I really like that. REally good song also. The mellotron part was done on the Vintage Pro? What about the Drums? It was really guitar right? I like that. Thanks
Members Umbra
You can really tell it's an emu box. Their character is probably more obvious than any other rompler in existance.

Members Klondo
I have been going through my synths trying to decide which ones to sell. I'm looking at the Emu Vintage Pro Module right now. I have always known that there are a good variety of basic synth waveforms to choose from and some very good and large number of filters. I just never had a very easy way of editing patches and always thought i could do more with the Vintage Pro if i had a software graphical interface editor. I found one and so far I really like it. I think I may take out a couple of the extra ROMs that i have in the Vintage Pro. I have been coming up with some really good pads with filter sweeps. It was always really hard to edit the envolops until now. Here is the link. Maybe I can make some mp3's soon of some of my original patches. People always said that the presets sucked and I agree taht about 85 percent of them suck. I have always been looking for any .syx files for the Emu Vintage Pro of patches but never found any. I also never heard any sound patch examples other than just the presets. I think this module is pretty underated.
