Members Jack Q
Hey everyone, This is my first post here at the harmony-central forums. Happy to be here. I was just wondering if any of you know of podcasts out there that have to do with songwriting, inspiration, recording, or anything else related to creating music. I travel a lot and have more time to listen to things on my ipod or in my car than to sit and read. Thanks for the help.

Members blue2blue
The streaming, free online design-your-own "radio" service, www.Pandora.com has some nice podcasts on various issues involved with making music from production to harmony, and, I think, maybe, songwriting... Last time I went there there were a handful of new podcasts. http://blog.pandora.com/podcast/ Check it out. The main service hasn't knocked me off my subscription service, by any stretch (I like picking my own tunes and while their "robots" are better at guessing what you might like from the examples you give them than, say, the satellite or cable radio stations, I've only really nailed one "station" that I can listen to for more than a half hour or so (one based simply on the "artist," John Coltrane & Johnny Hartmann" and -- hard to remember -- maybe also the song "Lush Life" -- that "station" is pretty listenable.) Still, you can put in fairly obscure stuff (like my old 70s prog-weirdo faves, Family) and come up with an at least interesting mix... for a while. BUt check out the podcasts, even if the self-designed "station" concept doesn't work for you.
