guys I need an opinion here.

I made this clip in search of tone opinions. I'm going to record a few Rock/hard rock songs (just for fun since, the music I write is pop-rock) and I'm searching for a good solid tone.

It's the F-50 miced with the SM57 into my metric Halo > Macbook into logic exp. 8. The guitar is my Edwards Goldtop. (no boost, no eq in the loop)

what do you think is needs, lacks? Do you think I nailed it?, leave it as it is?

By the way, what you hear is basically two guitars, one panned -60 to the left the other 60 to the right. The one in the left has an OD pedal plugin without much gain, just to change the tonal characteristic of the amp a bit, since it's the same amp and the same guitar (might try another guitar for extra flavor). Some EQ, some compression.

I know this is now really "songwriting" material, but you guys seem cool enough, and seem to have good musical ears :cop:

First on top.

:idk:

I listened to the first clip (as well as the other F-50 clips) and I don't think you can go too far wrong with the boogie - I think any one of those guitar sounds should work for that genre.

The guys in the amp forum will beg to disagree, but I only have two criteria for judging guitar tone:

1) Does the sound inspire me as a guitarist to play better?

2) Does the sound work in the context of the other instruments in the song?

and I can't really answer either of those based on the clips.

I agree with rsadasiv

Each tone you used seems fine for the genre in which you'll use them. I don't have much experience with effects other than delay so I don't think I'm much help. Nothing struck me as out of place or wrong. Sorry I couldn't be more help
