It's more oriented to helping people get feedback and constructive criticism on songs and lyrics in progress -- as well as for the discussion of the art and craft of songwriting. For that reason it's a little more focused -- and a little more heavily moderated (currently by yours truly, unpaid, volunteer work) than some other HC forums. I gave a listen to "Pretty Thing." I make it a practice to not give extended comments on words unless the lyrics are posted so I won't weigh in on that except to say that what little I caught (this ain't the production forum, either, but the there are some mix/mastering issues that make it a little hard to make out) seemed to be safely in hard rock territory, as was the music. The music seemed well crafted and arranged and I'd imagine this would appeal to fans of mid-80s glam metal, production issues notwithstanding.
