Members bluesmang
Anyone know where the best (meaning cheapest and fastest with the best quality) place to get solid core copper wire in a large guage for doing pedal work? Small quantity would great too. Any ideas?

Members bluesmang
I tend to stay away from the Rat Shack when it comes to wiring as their stuff is pretty cheaply made and hasn't held up well in the past. Dano, I was hoping maybe you'd chime in. I'm doing your fuzz face mod for transistor switching. You mention using solid core copper wiring... what did you use? Members PolyFmorf
Well, if you don't want that I would Google "Belden solid core wire". It is what we use in the process control industry and their cable/wire holds up in some very nasty temperature extremes. I've used the Shack wire for 30 years with no problems. It's all pretty much made in China, anyway.
Members TweedBassman
just read the fine print on the rat shack stuff, the specs are tiny; solid or strand, insulation thickness, guage.
