Members thom
Somewhere on the net I saw a pic of an old-school nintendo joy stick that worked as a foot controller for one of the parameters of some sort of diy effects pedal. The whole effect was housed in the joystick, the existing knobs all controlled the effect's parameters... Anyone know how a joystick exactly works, and how it can be used on a guitar effect? I know, it's a long shot...But if you can help me, I'd really appreciate it. Cheers.
Members scott_335
There is a guy who is a scumbag called fx doctor who makes a pedal like that. Its just painted to look like a controller though.
Members thom
Thanks for the reply Scott. I found the website again: http://experimentalistsanonymous.com/stuff/index.html I'm mainly interested how a joy-stick can be hooked up to a guitar effect, the dude at that site seems to have found a cool way. Members scott_335
Ohh, thats a different one. Im pretty sure that the buttons are momentary switches and the joystick is 4 momentaries. That would be fun to screw around with.
Members g-nem
Check out bent-tronics.com - they have some great easy to use joysticks. I bought an old atari joystick and it is 4 momentary contacts- 1 for each direction- not so useful. Better were the paddles I bought- still haven't used em for anything- waiting for the right project!
