Members Deaj
Hello all, I just finished another pedal build this afternoon based on a circuit posted at Freestompboxes.org. It's a circuit similar to the COT-50 with a Rangemater-like tone control. I laid it out on the breadboard this morning and A/B'd it with my Lovepedal COT-50 blue and I was amazed at how great this circuit sounds! The gain and tone controls are very interactive. I built it on perf-board and threw an enclosure together for it. It bumped my COT-50 off the pedal board this evening. I'll A/B them again tomorrow but if I hear the same thing I heard today the COT-50 will get sold. I'm really jazzed about this one! Here are a couple of pics: ...and a family portrait:

Members dap99
Deaj, Nice stuff man! Do you have a diagram of the FS wiring you use? I've been using one from Dano at Beavisaudio, but yours looks a little simpler. Today I should be finishing up a few builds I've been working on - the Jack Orman Mosfet boost and MarkM's layout based on the SHO. I'm wondering how they'd sound "cascaded" into each other like the SuperDuper 2in1

Members dap99
Thanks for the pic. i just finished building the pedal below. Bottom line, WOW!!!! Very SHO!! Increased clarity, great clean boost (loud!), and when cranked, really pushes a tube amp! The Gain knob doesn't do a lot, but it does enough to make it worth having. You wouldn't really miss it if it wasn't there, but it does do a cool subtle "take down" off the high end. Overall, I'm really happy w/ it. I got the build in a tiny "Japanese Apt" enclosure, so it won't take much space on my board. I'll be building this bad boy again. No doubt. Do you have a link to that COT-50 you built? That sounds interesting.
Members Deaj
Glad to hear that the boost project was a success! I can't see the picture though (doesn't appear in your post as a pic or a link) I look forward to seeing it. Here's a link to the project thread for the modified COT50 on Freestompboxes.org: http://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?p=22530#22530

Modman over at FSB.com said sometihng about Aaron disabling linking.
