Members MakuseruSukotto
Currently I'm using a 2x12 Fender Combo with the chassis pulled out as a cab. Would it be alright to turn this into a closed back cab by just fitting a back to it and covering the slot on the front where the chassis panel was? Would I need to port anything out on it, or do anything else to it?
Members Casey4s
Yeah you can cover over the chassis hole easy enough. Most combo cabinets don't have a lot of volume (as in cubic inches) so a closed back in a cabinet that size doesn not always work well. Try using it as an opn backed cabinet frist, if you colse the back use one piece so it is less likely to rattle or vibrate.
