As Craig Anderton mentioned in the Craig's Archiving Article - A MUST READ! thread, "It's about backing up so you'll actually be able to do something with file a decade from now. You'll see what I mean when you read the piece, it's not just the usual 'Now boys and girls, don't forget to back up!' "

 

I've been campaigning for Keyboard magazine to post this article online ever since it first appeared in the August 2003 issue; and now, thanks to Keyboard magazine Editor in Chief, Ernie Rideout, it's available to anyone with an Internet connection. It's my hope that the more people in our industry who read and adopt Craig's archiving suggestions, the better off we'll all be down the road.
