Right now I'm neck deep in a Cover song, I'm doing a cool electric version of LIKE A ROLLING STONE by B. dylan. I'm doing a cross between his version and the hendrix version with a healthy heppin' of arell-you-know-who thrown in. . ahahahaha!

I re-wrote some of the lyrics and rearranged the music a bit.

I've been workin' on the drum parts for two days.

I just finished up the drums so I rewarded myself by haveink' a visit with you groovy guys..

Hey booshie KAT! LIKE a ROLLING STONE is one cool song.

I saw an olde video of jimi hendrix doing the Dylan ditty at a music fest. He blew me and everyone else away with his rendition.

I was GAGA! pronounced GAH,GAH..

So I was happy when I finally got the last chord down.

I had to larn both versions cause they in diff'rent keys. I'm doing the C/Fminor version. I have to tune my axe WAY down from standard To D and the strangs flop and flap aroun' a lot but it really sounds cool. new heavier strangs would cure that floppin prob but I gotta make do with what I have. it's a "borrowed" strat style kramer sportin' a rosewood fretboard on a maple neck with a super sweet tone.

I had to work on it a bit to bring up to a playable level but it plays fine now.

Like I said, I penned some new lyrics and rearranged it a lot differently but it seems like a neato version. I'll get it out and online soon. I cain't leave it up for long cause they(soundclick) get mad when folkes put covers up.

Why don't you mp3 the separate tracks you made without effects and {censored}....

Just the tracks(how many did you use?) Mp3 them at the highest bitrate possible and send. I can mix and master it for ya or even make a groovy remix....

Hell,..I could even do a sleeve design man(this dude went to art school ages ago )...

Right now I have two tracks, drums and the main rythym track.

I feel like it's gonne be a lead track and at least three vocal tracks as well as the bottoms(bass) track for a total of seven.

that's all I have planned for right now. but the song MAY have othre ideas.

there are NO effects at this pointe. .

I have already done oh, fifty or so takes to get what I have. .

how would you master mp3s?

would you tarn 'em back into wav files?

I don't have to render them back to wav myself,..that's done automatically.

When you are done tracking everything you want in the song just send me all the seperate tracks. Easiest way is to use msn messenger so we can do it on the spot.

I'll load them in my Nuendo here and start working with them.

Remember I want NO effects on any of the tracks. Preferably even the guitar recorded direct which means no AMP! Just plug it in your PC and use tracking software to record,.... I never heard how you work so this might be a bit difficult,.... what software do U use??

hey hey! I am useing CUBASIS 16 bit right now for this one. I have three including Ntrack 2.3(16 bit) and cakewalk also 16 bit.

I'll see if I can send them. I'll need to use a high speed connection so I will have to do it from my budds home. it might be too tricky for me.
