You're at work. You're in a noisy factory. You're on the phone with someone..... You can't write it down, record it or otherwise "save" it to some other medium than grey matter. But, I have been known to hum something over and over again 'til I can get to a piece of paper or something... Annoys the crap out of people around me. But, I have been known to hum something over and over again 'til I can get to a piece of paper or something... That doesn't work for me so much... It starts to mutate and stray from what I originally came up with, and usually into something I like less. And by then, I've completely forgotten what I started with.
