Members highpressur
I've been thinking of learning to drum, I am a guitarist and would like to cut my own drum tracks. Ok, should I get an acoustic set and buy and make triggers for the exsiting shells? And then get a brain? I need to be quiet most of the time but I would still like to learn on some real ones too. Would It be possible to get good triggering w/ the mesh on the acoustic shell? Any insight would be great thanks all.

Triggers and a module won't be cheap exactly...and you would probably have to do something special with the cymbals, maybe buy a few electronic pads. Micing isn't cheap either, you'd need 2 mics at least...3 for a good sound...cable...a small mixer to plug them into, a good soundcard..and a computer that can handle recording. Or you could buy a digital recording unit. Thats just a few ideas....
