Members Watchdog
I got a new music mag today that looks a lot like Musicians Friend called Music 123. Anybody else get this? If its another GC company spinoff...they must be close to having the monopoly on music gear.
Members Iburytheliving
I have found they have the best deals in two cases so far...

Members MattACaster
It used to be owned by Woodwind & Brasswind but GC recently bought them out. I've ordered a few times from them over the years and never had any issues.
Members the DW
I order from them quite a bit. They have a very wide selection of drum parts.

Members Kevin K Is A OK
For a few products I've browsed for their prices (Music 123) have been a bit steep compared to other places.
Members Drummerboy_25
Yeah I got their newest catalog yesterday. I've ordered from them I think twice but always seem to find better deals from other places (MF, MassMusic ect)
Members theDan
They have a lot of drum parts great for rebuilding drums.
Members Skr4ped
Some stuff is more expensive than other sites, some stuff is cheaper. They carry a few brands that Musicians Friend doesn't. I've ordered from them once, it was entirely painless.

Members sidereal
i ordered from them and had bad luck, supposedly they were changing warehouses at the time. for time being i won't order from them. Same thing happened to me. It took them TWO MONTHS to ship my order. Then I gave them another chance on another order and it took about a month. I'm done with them. I sent them an email saying I very unsatisfied and won't be using them anymore. While I'm on the topic of bad online music retailers, 8th Street was the worst. I once bought something from them and they jacked up the price to my credit card AFTER I'd purchased it. I contacted them to say what's up and they said, oh, the price went up. I said okay, but I bought it at the price you had before. They said well, we're sorry, but that price was too low and we decided we can't sell it at that price. So no 8th Street for me. Musician's Friend is my new online retailer. Fair prices and very, very fast turnaround. We'll see.

Members Skr4ped
That's my point...its the same company. Owned by the same company, definitely not the same company. I'm sure they have they're own management and staff, so results may vary.
Members Watchdog
To me its like Clear Channel...almost all radio stations are owned by them, even though they say they are different. Still its one guy on the top dictating what everyone listens to, or in this case...what they buy. But its cool, they seem to carry items or brands that MF does not. Members sidereal
I'm just passing on my personal experience. They're definitely not the same. All business deals vary, but just because there's a merger doesn't mean there's a man behind a curtain who's suddenly changing shipping turnaround times and determining the prices for gear. He's just cashing all the paychecks.
