I don't know how many threads there are on Wuhan cymbals. Use the search function.

Mmm, other than the OP's thread, one.

And the cymbals, from my understanding, because they are handhammered, no one single Wuhan cymbal sounds alike. Oh, and they're trashy.

They are AWESOME!

I have several clips up on my Soundclick ( click the link )

w00t drumming is a general drumming clip of all of my set. The wuhans I have are 16" crash, 18" crash, 22" china, and two 10" splashes.

Drum Mix further down the page has some better clips of the cymbals.

There are two "Wuhan Crash" clips. The first one you see is of a Wuhan I am trying to sell. The second is the one I am keeping.

Anyway, just my opinions...

You can find great Wuhans, and you can find Wuhans you hit once and hope to never hit again. Each one is different from the last. Don't order them by mail. Go somewhere that has some and play them. You just might find that gem. They do exist. I have 2 china's and a splash that are wonderful.

If you're gonna order by mail...and want super-reasonably priced, hand-hammered chinese pies...go with Dream Cymbals from Front Range Bronze, where you can at least get sound clips up-front. I also have one of these...(a Bliss II crash)...and it's my favorite crash.

I've got a 14" china that will peel the fuzz off a peach!!! AMAZING! Like most have been saying DON'T buy these cymbals online. They are hand hammered and every one has it's own character. I bought mine at G.C and went thru like

8 or 10 before I found the one for me! Go for it. Wuhan makes great alternative traditional style cymbals as well!

I use 12 and 20" chinas, 8 and 10" splash cymbals and a 16 fast crash. I bought em all online and they all rule.

The chinas are the best there is in my opinion. The crashes are great and the splashes are fantastic as long as you want trashy sounding splashes rather than bell-like.

Thanks.

What you can't see is: Glockenspiel, Roland PD7 trigger pad, double-kick pedal attached to the left bassdrum, SpuraPhonic snare, triangles.

What you can see if you look: blue JamBlock, 6-8-10 rototoms, agogo bells, 5 tubular bells, and more cymbals than are immediately apparent. the electronic multipad to my left is an SPD-S; the tube across the top of the mounted toms is a Pintech Dingbat.

Yep, that's a good reason.

Nice kit!
