Name the band who made it bigger in the media rather than on tour, had a bunch of popular hits in the early days of rock and roll and can brag that they have a real wild man of rock as a member. They may even be considered one of the last bands still performing on a regular basis to hundreds of thousands of people. Name the group, the spotlighted individual, and their noteworhty individuality.

Sorry...not quite...although very admirable...

Come on! You're throwing curve balls again. The one more midnight ride clue has to be the Allman Brothers, but thanks for the encouragement. I thought I might actually have gotten one right, for a change. I'm patiently waiting for that day!:confused:

Looking over the clues I guess you could go with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullit band. If not the Allmans version of Midnight Rider, than maybe Bob's. He has more than a few TV and movie uses of his material, most notably "Like a Rock". Let me know if I have to delve deeper into this one.

Paul Revere and the Raiders!

TAH DAH..The Hungarian has rung the bell...the Legend of Paul Revere and the Raiders!! Way2Go! They do still paly in front of thousands and hundreds of thousands in Bransom and DISNEYWORLD!!

And their uniqueness comes from their attire and the last "Mad Man of Rock n Roll" Paul Revere. They were bigger as TV stars rather than on the road... The band appeared regularly on national television, especially on Dick Clark's Where the Action Is, Happening '68, and It's Happening. From the Clues:

Clue 1: Hey man, what's th' happening?-referring to their Happening TV shows

Clue 2: I sure could go for something to eat...-refers to Hungry-one of their biggest hits

Clue 3: Just one more midnight ride...please? referring to the "Midnight Ride of Paul Revere

Clue 4: I left my heart in Oakland- refers to the word Raiders from the Oakland Raiders

And the title is obviously "The legend of Paul Revere" There you go! Now wasn't that easy!!!

OH MY GOD!! Can you believe it. I waited for this day for so long. I have my acceptance speech all written out.

First, I like to thank Carmine because his second clue about the "midnight rider" was all it took. All of the sudden, the clouds parted, the light beamed through and the angels started singing, "It's Paul Revere and the Raiders, you DUMBASS!"

Second, I would like to that my older sister because she turned me on to Paul Revere and the Raiders. If it wasn't for her consistently playing "The Greatest Hit's, I might have not been able to answer this question.

Thirdly, I like to thank my college history professor Dr. Haffner. If it wasn't for his passion for American History, I may have never listened and known about Paul Revere's midnight ride.

Fourthly, I like to thank my father. For if it wasn't for that gleam in his eye and Mom's seam up the back of her nylons/garter belt/heels outfit and a little wine, I may not have reached this pinnacle in my life.

Thank you, I will cherish this day and this moment.:thu:
