Members klusk66
Looking for a decent, relatively portable mixer for home recording. I would like to have as many XLRs built in as possible. I have 5-6 drums, two overheads. At least stereo out. Preferrably USB out. What say you? Thanks + Merry Xmas, -----Klusk66
Members mis5dis6gis7
Behringer makes some good mixers at a decent price. My band just picked up a 2012(I think). I has 4 mxr inputs and 8 more 1/4'' inputs.
Members Jarick
If you need an actual mixer (many mics to a stereo track), the Behringer stuff works fine. If you want to record into a computer (many tracks at once), get a preamp interface.
Members Bitter Dawn
Go with Yamaha, MW series if you want a USB interface, or the MG series if you're going the classic route. They've Phantom Power, sturdy build, ample features and the cost is usually pretty good. Had an MW12 myself, I believe I used five XLRs, one snare, two overhead condensers, bass mic on the outside of the kick, and a dynamic meant for toms on the inside of the kick. Not a big fan of using 1/4" jacks either when it comes to using mics.
Members Thundergod
Behringer has and i own a 12 channel rack mixer, it has 8 xlr's and 4 quarter inch balanced inputs, rca i/o and 1/4 trs and xlr stereo out's. It works rather well for me when miking any of my kits live or in the studio. it is a 4 space rack mount. FYI
