I said high ring clarity because thats exactly what it sounds to me.

1:52 Jared sings the chours here, but there is a clarity in his voice which sounds like there is almost 2 tones to me, one normal and then one really high. But that might just be me.

Is he just singing like a whole octave higher, or is it because hes singing quite loud?

There's a certain place where you can "rest" you voice (I don't mean give it a break, but I mean place it) that makes it come out multi-tonal...It's a certain vibration. Hard to explain.

If I get some time today, I'll try to record an example.

I can't listen to this (partner is asleep in the next room), but I've heard certain people exhibit what I THINK the OP means in that clip example. I don't know how to get this in my own voice...could never quite figure it out...but admittedly I never tried too hard to figure it out either.

Some people have a speaking voice that tends to go into this sound too sometimes...it's hard to describe.
