Members Jersey Jack
A while back we had a thread about using an iPad for song charts. Well, I finally broke down and picked one up, with the idea of downloading the recommended Onsong app to manage the files. But cautious guy that I am, I decided to look some of the reviews. There's not too much out there (besides the customer reviews on iTunes), but I did find a youtube tutorial posted by the company. Well, I'm not sure I've every seen such a god-soaked tutorial--enough to make this old liberal agnostic cringe. Someone reassure me: Are you sure that the app contains no missionary work? Will I be harassed by god pop-ups? Will the thing come prepopulated with Christian music that I'll have to delete? Will angel graphics adorn the margins? It makes me a little uncomfortable that the advertising materials simply assume that I'm a Christian and repeatedly proclaim how great this app will be for my worship band. I'm not trying to offend--I'm not anti-religion, but I don't like the identification with Christianity that this app wants to project on me. If anyone knows of a similar app that is either secular or Buddhist, let me know.

Members MikeyParent
LOL, I have yet to see anything in it that is religious whatsoever - I think you are good... It would be nice if it were a bit more stable but I am starting to think that its my old-ass iPhone 3G that is the biggest issue... it is slow as {censored}. Members IRonGuitar
Try Songbook chordpro, its far more stable, which OnSong is not.. wont chrash on ipad 1 , works on I-things, Android and has a windows version, exchanges with all these platforms through dropbox account. So all band members can use their own various type tablet , laptop, pc , phone etc. And on stage use airturn fot page turning handsfree, and bluetooth linkage with fellow musicians. Onsong looks nice but is instable, wont work well with dropbox, maybe it has to many god-given? features. To much bling bling , but works badley .. Sadley !
