Strats must come with thin necks now then, because my SoCal's neck is 19.5mm @ the 1st fret, and 21mm at the 12th. Very similar in thickness to an Ibanez Wizard II or a Jem. Also they have a 1 11/16" nut width, while most strats are 1 5/8". Yes, fender's new necks actually feel like wizard necks. I played a prestige and it felt the same as my strat.

what's the neck on the new charvels like? Same as '09 american strats but with a compoung radius.
