Hi,

I don't have any high quality recording gear and at the same time I'm sort of happy with what I do have.

What I'm also happy with is the way my family supports what I do so the prize would be a nice family holiday. The rest of the money would go to finding a few experts in the field to pay them to teach me a thing or two of their trade craft.

Then I probably would make the stuff I already own sound even better and as I like learning and developing I'm sure I'd be a happier person to boot.

Thanks for the info.

I just got the new MacBook Pro with the 2GHz Intel duo core processor and that has the 6-pin FireWire connector.

As the MacBook is only a "loaner" for a project I'm currently in I don't use it for music so therefore I'm looking for a laptop PC.

Hi Craig,

What laptop did you use. The reason for asking is that I'm in the process of getting a PC laptop and a firewire i/f but all the laptops I see that have firewire have the small firewire connector. Any suggestion for a PC laptop with the large firewire connector?
