WAV-MAKER-1600
Designed primarily for BR-1600CD and BR-1200CD owners who need fast conversion of tracks to the PC, WAV-MAKER-1600 decreases the time required to convert projects on the popular Roland DAW devices to WAV files. No longer do you need to wait for your BR-1600CD/1200CD to export to WAV your tracks, nor have your BR-1600CD/1200CD sit there waiting at the end of the export step for you to copy the exported WAV files to your PC. Do all of this in one step with WAV-MAKER-1600, either by converting your project directly to WAV via your USB port (put the BR unit in Backup mode first); or simply backup your project folders to your PC first and at your leisure convert the project folders to WAV without needing your BR-1600CD/1200CD around to do so.

* It is important to note that the BR-1600CD export process is at a minimum a two-step process: (1) the export step in which the BR-1600CD prepares the WAV file(s) and then mounts itself as a USB hard disk for the PC, and (2) the Windows copy steps. Because the Windows copy step requires a person to be involved there may be more time required than displayed above to complete the export unless a person is physically at the BR-1600CD as soon as the first phase of the export process completes. All times above in the Built-in BR-1600CD Export column are best case with 0 seconds between steps.
** Due to the length of the performance, the BR-1600 required exporting track 1-8 individually and copying them individually. This is the only way we found successful in getting the tracks off using the BR-1600CD export feature. The BR-1600CD reported HDD Full! each time we tried to export all tracks or stereo (i.e. 1/2) tracks, even though we only had 5GB of the 40GB internal hard drive used. To verify these results, we backed up our project, reformatted the internal hard drive, and restored the single project folder containing the performance -the result was the same HDD Full! error whenever we tried to export more than one track at a time. The resultant export process requires 16 manual steps to complete (see note * above) with 16 possible delays of time between steps.

Has been tested to run with no problems in Windows Virtual Machines on Mac OS X, however to be clear this is a Windows-Only compatible product, not a Mac native application.

"The WAV-MAKER program has considerably reduced the conversion time changing the BR files into .wav files. I especially like the ability to take whole sections of, say a rehearsal, and by using the stop start setting on the WAV-MAKER app you can load the whole rehearsal off of one song file and the conversion seperates the .wav files (as long as you start and stop the BR between each tune) for each rehearsed tune. I loaded one "song" that was a compilation of about 8 tunes into the WAV-MAKER and it converted the files and separated the 8 tunes in around a minute and a half. Then loaded them into Cakewalk for a quick mix-down so the band could hear the tunes that needed more work. A definite time saver and excellent program!!"
